It is a fair point on the number of Asian-Americans in the doc and I accept your criticism there. I would not want to erase their contributions. On the issue of me using emotive language, you need to take into account power dynamics and reach – I am an independent journalist with the limited reach which comes with that. The Social Dilemma is a documentary with the promotional power of Netflix behind it. Being emotive to persuade is not intrinsically wrong. It is a necessity in an attention economy.
